Inobitec DICOM Viewer

23.5. Saving Hanging Protocols

Custom hanging protocols are saved in the storage of the DICOM Viewer as DICOM files.

A protocol is saved when creation or editing is successfully completed in the hanging protocol dialog box.

To save a protocol, you must specify at least one applicability criterion, at least one series selection criterion, and at least one layout. If the protocol settings, applicability criteria, series selection criteria, or filtering criteria do not comply with the DICOM standard, the protocol is not saved and an error message is displayed.

The protocol activation state is saved separately from its DICOM file. If the protocol is disabled in the table, it remains in the storage, but does not participate in automatic layout selection when a series is opened.

PIC Hanging protocols cannot be modified or overwritten. To save a modified version of a protocol, create a copy of the existing protocol and save it.
