The pulmonary analysis toolbar is located on the right side of the Pulmonary Analysis tab (Fig. 9.1).
The pulmonary analysis panel contains the following tools:
The Parameters button opens a pop-up menu for configuring surface creation parameters (see Section 6.7). Unlike the tools on the segmentation panel, export/import settings are not available.
The Save segmentation project to file button opens a dialog box for saving a segmentation project to a file (see Section 6.11).
The Open segmentation project from file button opens a dialog box for opening a segmentation project from a file (see Section 6.11).
The Segment lungs button creates segmented structures of the entire respiratory system, trachea, and left and right lungs (see Section 9.4).
The Segment opacity button creates the following segmented structures: respiratory system, trachea, left lung, right lung, left lung opacity, and right lung opacity. The lung parenchyma analysis results are displayed in a table (see Section 9.4).
The Detect lung nodules button segments the detected nodules and determines their positions, boundaries, radii, and lower density thresholds. The detection results are displayed on the pulmonary analysis panel for subsequent verification (see Section 9.5.1).
The Manual nodule creation button activates the manual nodule segmentation tool. The segmentation results are displayed on the pulmonary analysis panel (see Section 9.5.2).
The Lung evaluation button opens a dialog box with information about the volume of nodules detected in the series. For merged series, the dialog displays nodule volumes for each series and their growth over time (see Section 9.5.3).
The Remove structure/Remove surface button removes either the entire structure or only the surface, depending on the selected item in the hierarchical list. A confirmation dialog box is displayed when a structure is removed.

The Optimal view button expands all list items down to the third nesting level and collapses all items starting at the third nesting level.
The Collapse all button collapses all list items on the segmentation panel except layer items.
The Expand all button expands all collapsed list items on the segmentation panel.
